How to Get Here
Here is a sampling of lodging in the immediate area:
- There is a Hampton Inn next to Baptist Memorial Hospital at 33 Humphreys Center (901-747-3700). Take exit 13 off I-240, go east on Walnut Grove, and round the corner just after Baptist Memorial Hospital.
- If you are traveling via I-40, Best Suites of America has a location just south of I-40 on Germantown Road. Take exit 16A. The address is 8166 Varnavas Drive (901-386-4600 or 800-237-8466).
- Also, in that area is a La Quinta Inn, just off I-40 near exit 12 (Sycamore View). The address is 6068 Macon Cove (901-382-2323).
- A little closer in to the Charles Retina Institute is a location of Best Inns of America. It is to your right while driving south on Germantown Road, at 7787 Wolf River Parkway (901-757-7800).
- And just across Germantown Road from it, behind Perkins Restaurant, is the Homewood Suites Hotel, at 7855 Wolf River Parkway (901-751-2500).
- If you are traveling via I-240, one convenient hotel is the luxurious Memphis Hilton Hotel. Take the Poplar exit east and turn left at the first light, then take Ridgeway Center Parkway to 939 Ridge Lake Boulevard (901-684-6664).
- If you go east on Poplar from I-240, then turn left on Ridgeway (which turns into Shady Grove), there is an Embassy Suites Hotel at about 500 more feet, to your right, at 1022 South Shady Grove Rd. (901-684-1777).
- If you go east on Poplar from I-240, then turn right on Ridgeway, the first major street to the south is Park Avenue. Turn right at Park, and you will be at the Courtyard by Marriott, right by St. Francis Hospital, at 6015 Park Avenue (901-761-0330 or 800-321-2211).
- Directly behind the Citgo station at Ridgeway and Poplar (next to Shea Clinic) is a Residence Inn by Marriott (901-685-9595 or fax 901-685-1636). The address is 6141 Poplar Pike.
- The Holiday Inn East is on Poplar and I-240 also (901-682-7881). The address is 5795 Poplar Ave.
- Days Inn Airport / Brooks Rd at 1533 E Brooks Rd. (901-345-2470).
- Motel 6 at 1117 E Brooks Rd. (901-346-0992).
- A good possibility if you are driving in via Highway 78, which turns into Lamar, is Budget Inn at 4030 Lamar Ave. (901-362-5700).
